Connections

On my last post I talked about friends varied mighty friendship base as and how this this collection of people they have made connections with don't necessarily know each other or even have anything related to each other, but they all mean something to me.

After talking with the friends after that post I talked to her about half for me amazing new person is a exciting way to build connections and see if I have something in common or I can engage with. I think that's why I like even being on a bus or train when I can chat and just talk to people and share information and ideas.

This week also showed me that connections can really last even if you don't see each other often. On Sunday I went off to a coffee group for and driving there thought an old friend I haven't talked to for for a long time coming out her your driveway in person so I stopped and caught up. Funnily I bumped at the supermarket today.

Again, this week I met another person workmate who I haven't seen years Is it is I'm more recent colleague at the supermarket. Simon was probably getting frustrated as I kept bumping into people checking in on how I was doing and I was re-establishing connections.

When I think about my connections now, I love how varied it is. Old school mates, family, blogging, workmates, support groups WLS including  Aortic dissection awareness to Aphasia.  And let’s forget my involvement mediaeval reenactment.

Friendships

After a after having a lie in this morning Simon suggested to go the movie Project Hail Mary which he gone to last week & loved it. I am not really a science fiction type of girl but Simon said it was more about friendships sci-fi or space.

That made me think about what I'm doing with my blogging and how that actually started from friendship.

It back in November 2000 I had moved to Wellington from Auckland and to get to know people was kind of difficult. At the time one of the dating website was free to use end initially it was how I meet new friends.

Over the year I went to events, including barbecues and I even helps organise a singles night.  A couple of the people that I meet there with woman who also met their partners through the site. I meet Simon that same site.

Every time if I think about my friends growing up my head some good close friends but we all seem to drift it apart for the most part and our 20s. I still have a few from the younger years but are overseas or just life in general we haven't caught up for years.

In my mid 20s I had a couple of great flat mates, but I met Kathy a WW meeting in my first day. Kathy became my bestie. Died approx. 23 years ago.

Other friendships have always been very varied, mainly due to getting my face computer and my flat mates at the time introduce ICQ and MSN messenger.  I went on to create to weight loss blogging and still have connections with that time.

I was really after yesterday's post Some of the people here had find me years ago reached out and sent me some personal messages which was lovely.

Season in my life - reboot

I've been thinking from the last couple of weeks about restarting my blog. There are quite a few reasons from why I decided to update it.

•Have routines, included bedtimes.
•Mainly a little bit of purpose tor reason to get out of bed.
•Connect with people
•Complete the Stuff quiz & Crostic game daily
•My complete favourite blogs and podcasts.
•Try some form intentional movement & more exercise. No matter how short.
•Try a new hobby

So this is - version of my blog as to highlight life is just a series of seasons.
I thought would finish up with a poem I wrote a couple of years ago.

'A season in my life'

Most people say I'm Strong

But I can't see it.

When I’m out of breath doing simple things,

They can't see it.

You look fantastic, they say,

But I don't see it.

I live in hope, fear and frustration,

As well as love.

Hope all will be alright,

Fear that it will all just happen again.

Frustration that this is as good as it gets.

But those who love me, remind me,

It is just a season in my life.

I know I'll get through this.

Your love & Support,

& a pinch of that strength

You all think I have,

Will get me through to the next season in my life.
