The NAWLS Small Bite for May 22nd is
Don't let the world steal your peace.So much is happening in today's world. Watching the news can be very upsetting. If you've already had a challenging day, the violence of a TV show may add more stress. Sometimes people don't realize how much their environment and what they allow into their lives affects them.
If you are having trouble with stress eating, or even if you just feel a lot of stress, consider the impact of the media in your life. Do you have to read in your local paper about the recent murders or car accidents? Do you have to watch the news and see the graphic violence taking place around the world? Setting good boundaries includes deciding what you want to be exposed to on a daily basis.
Action for the day:
Spend today noticing how well you control your environment and what you allow into your life. Are there boundaries you can set for yourself to bring more peace into your life?
