Set the bar low.
Some days you will wake up and spring out of bed ready to exercise and some days you won't. In fact, some weeks or months you'll feel motivated and some you won't. But no matter how you feel, you know you must exercise. So what do you do when you don't want to?
Set the bar low. Tell yourself you only have to stretch today. Or that you only have to exercise for 5 minutes. Don't worry about the intensity and duration on a bad day, just worry about showing up. Motivation follows action, even when it's only a little action.
Action for the day: If you are feeling resistant to exercise today, set a timer for 5 minutes and march in place or do stretches. Just do something.
