Measure your progress

Had another rough day today. Not really sure what is going on with me at the moment, am not sleeping well and it hurts when I breathe in too deeply. It is like my liver is actually inflamed at the moment. It seems to be worse first thing in the morning and later in the afternoon.

Today's NAWLS Small Bite:

Measure your progress.
Plateaus are common on a WLS journey, but don't despair. Often you are losing inches even when the scale is not inching down.

That is why you are encouraged to take your measurements. Keeping track of your measurements is a wonderful way to chart your progress. even after you reach goal, you can see how your exercise regimen is changing your body.

Action for the day:
No matter where you are on your journey, take your measurements today. The wait a month and measure again.

I really wish I had done my before measurements. If I look back through this blog I will probably find some reference to them somewhere, but I am not sure about them. They were taken recently at the gym, and maybe I will get those to post. I haven't got enough time today, but I will look at doing it tomorrow. I think I tend to use my clothes as an indicator as to if I am gaining, and I use the scales of course.

  1. I do hope your pain is easing and you find out why the hard to breathe thing is happening.
